Details:
Refresh your fall wardrobe sustainably and raise money for Hurricane Helene Relief in WNC! Swahili Coast is hosting a fall clothing swap, with all proceeds benefitting MANNA Food Bank in Asheville in their Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.
HOW IT WORKS: In the week prior to the event, you’ll drop off 2-8 items of gently used clothing, shoes, or accessories to swap. You’ll receive “tickets” for your items, which can be exchanged for the same number of items at the swap! All of the items will be merchandised into a temporary “shop” that will open to all participants on Saturday, Nov 16, where you’ll get to pick out new pieces for your wardrobe, have refreshments, and help raise money for Western North Carolina.
GUIDELINES FOR CLOTHING: All clothing should be laundered and in good condition with no stains, rips, or tears. Please only bring clothes you would be proud for a friend to tell folks that they got it from you!
No graphic tees or “disposable fashion” (e.g. Shein, Temu). No swim or intimates. Seasonally appropriate styles are encouraged as much as possible.
