In lieu of the SENC MLK Jr. day parade on January 20th, there will be a Family and Multi Cultural Celebration Event at the Wilmington Convention Center, co sponsored by Coast 97.3. Doors open at 11am and it is free to the public. Events leading up of Martin Luther King Jr. Day include:
MLK, Jr. Family Fun Day: Jan. 18 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Maides Park, 1101 Manly Ave.
“I HAVE A DREAM” presented by The Dance Theatre of DREAM: Jan. 18 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Church of the Servant sanctuary labyrinth, 4925 Oriole Dr.
MLK, Jr. Day Interfaith Service: Jan. 19 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at St. Luke AME Zion Church, 709 Church St.
MLK, Jr. Day Celebration, Family and Multi-Cultural Event: Jan. 20 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Wilmington Convention Center, 10 Convention Center Dr.
