Visuals, Vocals and Variations connects dancers, musical and visual artists for a varied and collaborative event that includes premiere dance pieces and re-creations of past works, featuring choreography by Tracey Varga.
Included will be a live onstage performance with dancers by operatic soprano Elizabeth Stovall and choral group led by Dr. Aaron Peisner of UNCW, as well as an exciting piece by guest choreographer Gaspard Louis of Gaspard and Dancers. ” Interconnection” from Dance-a-lorus 2021, a collaboration with filmmaker Patrick Ogelvie will be presented, as well as ” Stages” from 2008 set to music by Nina Simone and dances to music by French guitarist, composer Pierre Bensusan. New work featuring teen dancers from local studios with music by award winning composer Dale Cornelius as well as a high energy piece with original composition by local musician, composer Joe Cordaro and danced by company and guest dancers will be premiered
