The 2025 North Carolina Azalea Festival Street Fair will take place from April 4th through 6th in Historic Downtown Wilmington. As part of WDI’s mission to promote viable access for our local businesses and residents, Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI) has partnered with the Azalea Festival to distribute the 2025 Barricade Passes.
WDI seeks to gather information to ensure that businesses, residences, and establishments have the necessary passes for access during the event. Please complete the following survey to let us know how many passes you will need for your business, residence, or establishment to get through during the annual street fair and parade.
Additionally, please review the information about the barricade zones and access times below, as it will be important for navigating the event area. You will find a map of the Barricade Zones below.
Let us know if you would like to pick up your pass at the WDI office inside Common Desk (226 N. Front St.) or have a WDI staff member deliver it to your location. If you prefer delivery, please provide your preferred drop-off times in the questionnaire.
Barricade Zones and Hours:
Friday, April 4th to Sunday, April 6th, 2025 (All Day)
Street Fair Zone (RED): No street parking.
Businesses or residents inside the Street Fair will be able to access with an appropriate pass on a circumstantial basis.
Access to N. Front St. during the street fair is only permitted:
Before 6 p.m. Friday
Saturday before 6 a.m. or after 10 p.m. (coordinate with Azalea Staff)
Sunday before 6 a.m. (coordinate with Azalea Staff)
Saturday, April 5th (6:45 AM – 12:00 PM) Parade Staging Area:
No street parking 12 AM to 12 PM, Saturday, April 6th.
Highly restricted vehicle access during the parade due to high pedestrian traffic.
Zone 1 (PINK): East of 3rd between Castle and Davis/N Front.
Access area at any street in Zone 1 with a pass.
Zone 3 (BLUE): West of 3rd between Dock and Castle.
Access area at Castle and 2nd St. Barricade with a pass
Zone 2 (YELLOW):
West of 3rd and North of Market Area.
Access Barricade at 3rd and N. Front St. or 3rd and Harnett with a pass during Parade.
Area also accessible until 9 AM via Princess & 5th St.
Street Fair Zone (RED):
Businesses and residents with parking inside the Street Fair may access with a Red Pass on a circumstantial basis.
During Parade use the Yellow access point enter and exit at 3rd & N. Front.
