Details:
PROJECT GRACE is a public-private redevelopment project focusing on an entire block in the heart of Downtown Wilmington.
Cape Fear Development Company plans to begin demolition work for the project this winter. Project Grace is in planning under a development agreement between New Hanover County and Cape Fear Development.
When complete, the redeveloped three-acre block, bordered by Grace, Third, Chestnut, and Second Streets, will include the New Hanover County Main Public Library, Cape Fear Museum, and the current county parking deck. The private side of the development project is in planning.
The development team for Project Grace includes LS3P and Monteith Construction Corp. WDI sees this as a transformative project for our Downtown, one which will last for generations to come.
