WDI hosts Ribbon Cutting for new downtown business

Wilmington, NC – Wilmington Downtown, Inc. will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of a new shop in downtown on Thursday, July 10th at 5 N. Front Street and will start at 4:30pm.

Momentum Surf & Skate Shop is the first retail location for owner Hunter Ford.  His shop features his custom designed surf boards as well as skateboards, apparel, bathing suits, sunglasses, and flip-flops.

Ford is a familiar face for downtown as he is also the bartender at Deluxe, an upscale restaurant around the corner on Market Street.  Wilmington Downtown, Inc. is proud to officially welcome Momentum to downtown and see one of its main functions as an organization put to good use because Ford was the recipient of funding for his store renovations and opening through the Loan Program that Wilmington Downtown, Inc. offers.
